Camp Not A Care is a truly amazing location which words and pictures cannot do justice! The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths on 20 acres, it is nestled between 4 ponds totaling around 100 acres to explore in the provided boats. There are 2 canoes (one here and one on Loon Lake), 2 kayaks and a flat bottom boat with an electric trolling motor. About 2 miles away, you have access to Loon Lake, there is a canoe and dock there for you to use. Camp Not a Care sleeps a max of 6 and has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a loft with 2 twin beds in the main cabin. There is also a bonus sleeping space in the 10 by 10 log cabin chapel with a queen bed but our max is still 6. Electricity is provided by solar and a backup generator. You will not find things like a toaster oven (you'll need to use the oven), microwave, drip coffee maker (we have a stove top percolator), blender and any other small appliance that runs on electricity. There are 2 fridges and a stove, they run on propane. There is satellite internet and a smart TV so you can watch Netflix and other online streaming services. There is even good cell service on the property which you will not find in other areas of Loon Lake. Not only is the property surrounded by private ponds, it's also surrounded by mountains making for some amazing views in all directions. The cabin is nicely decorated with Adirondack touches throughout. There are plenty of places to take walks right from the front door and a couple nice hikes 3 or 4 miles away, Crusher mountain is a very easy 30-40 minute hike to the top with a fantastic view of Loon Lake and Loon Lake Mountain is for the more adventurous hikers, it's about a 6 mile round trip with views that cannot be beat and an old out of commission fire tower. Camp Not A Care is available year round and is a perfect spot for snowmobiling and other outdoor winter activities.
